Bright garnet in colour, the aromas of The Dagger bring Pinocity in spades! Lovely cherry, hints of earthiness and pleasant subtle pencil box notes along with violets, florals & dried herbs. Subtle notes of slight 'pinot funk', but remains perfectly clean & bright.
The palate brings with it hints of liquorice, sour cherry, earth, leather & dried herbs. Bright acid & fine tannins show a good structure. This will continue to improve over the short to medium term. Not a total fruit bomb, this is a pinot with complexity & seriousness well above its price point.
